The cover wasn't particularly appealing and I was highly dubious of the tagline. It didn't seem to go together particularly well.
I tried to read the sample and was immediately disgusted with it. Its incredibly juvenile "locker room" humor fell very, very flat. It made fun of... everyone? Fat people, poor people, rural people, intellectuals, women... And not in a nice or funny way. There was nothing to like about it. At all. Usually I can find something to like but nope. Not this time. I will just stay far, far away from the rest of the novel and try to read something else now to get the bad taste out of my mouth.
