When Two Feathers Fell from the Sky is a book has a lot going for it. It is based on the true story of a terrible accident at a zoo; it offers a bit of history and a perspective on being Native American in this country in addition to a broader perspective on race, plus supernatural elements. The story of Two Feathers and the aftermath of her accident is certainly an interesting one, but it not a page turner for me. I found myself getting distracted, dropping it and then coming back to it several times. I think it's the kind of book I would probably enjoy the most in the context of a book club because it certainly gives a lot to discuss and there's a focus I get when I'm reading with a specific purpose of discussion. A well written book recommended for it's themes, but not an immersive read for me.

I have received an ARC book in exchange for an honest review.
