The cover is not as impressive as I would have liked it to be and I think that follows suit for the rest of the story. There were a lot of characters in the book to the point where it was confusing to keep up with and the wild west setting of it added to the slow pace in my opinion. It wasn't bad by any means, I just didn't seem to be very interested in it and there is a point in the plot that I will not give specific information on for the sake of spoilers, but it was so out of the blue and made absolutely no sense for the book to the point where I was ready to put the book down for good. Despite all this, I do appreciate the book's discussion of racism and the representation of native Americans throughout the story as the main protagonist is a female indigenous performer. I think the main issue for me was that the reader barely gets to know the lead character because of the way the author builds up the story.
