I'm rounding to four stars but my rating is 3.5 stars. I liked the story quite a bit and I have to say that I think the writing is beautiful, but what really took away stars for me were the many characters and pov's. That's totally on me, I just get lost and lose track of who is who, I'm sure others will not mind and might prefer the many characters. I did enjoy the friendships and the storytelling and although I don't read a lot of historical fiction I did really enjoy reading this one. I also enjoyed the "dash" of magical realism in the story. I think Two as a character was definitely strong and I found fascinating what she did (she is a horse diver) which I had to google to know what it was exactly but totally awesome if you ask me.
The pacing was a bit slow for me so it did take me a few days to read it because sometimes I didn't stop at a good part but I am glad I read this book and I would recommend others to read it.
