I really enjoyed this excerpt and this book seems to be a good genre blend of thriller and magical realism. I’m definitely curious to see how Lo and Dovie go about finding and stopping the serial killer that is murdering the hikers. I also really like the descriptions of the landscape. It seems like the author is doing a good job of setting the stage and developing the characters.
