Dovie drew me in right away and how the beginning has her finding bones before she is even 4. The superstitions and beliefs of the people of Lucifer's creek are interesting and I want to know more about how these drive Dovie. Also, I want to know more about how the relationship between Dovie and Lo develops and into what given the circumstances. The cover beautifully done with the flowers and bright colors though the closer you look the bones start to stand out which maybe hints at the light and dark of the story itself.
