I like the cover design and the title, which is the Arabic equivalent to "When pigs fly..." but...
It's telling that the first sentence of the book description is "Inspired by her own experiences in Iraq..." as like, a way to excuse its existence. I'm a proponent of the Own Voices movement, but I'm not against the very idea of a white person writing about different cultures.
That said... from what I've read, this isn't good. The writing is weak overall, some lines outright terrible. Lots of telling instead of showing, that kind of thing. Also italicized 'foreign' words are a pet peeve of mine, and they're abundant in this book.
