When Harry Met Minnie by Martha Teichner is a wonderful and touching memoir of the author's own experiences with not only person relationships and loss, but also how enriching the canine presence can be throughout all of life's changes.

Any dog, or furry friend, fan will truly love this story. At many times it tugged at my heart, yet it was warm, fuzzy, heartwarming, and left me feeling lighter and happier after reading. It evoked the feeling of hope, light, fulfillment, and love despite a world and existance of sometimes downtrodden times, of obstacles, and loss. The relationship that developed not only of Martha and Carol, but also of their four-legged family members, Harry and Minnie, was such an enjoyable read. I really recommend this book to anyone that wants to finish a book feeling better about life, humanity, and the future. (Just make sure you have a box of tissues available...just in case.)
