I don't frequently read self help and honestly this book reminded me of why. It was mildly inspirational, but honestly didn't have a lot of tangible advice. I enjoyed the stories and insights from her life but didn't find a lot of things that were applicable. It read much more like a memoir than any kind of tangible self help. It was a short quick read and an uplifting travel read. If I had not gotten this for free I doubt I would have picked it up on my own. It was very educational in Jewish proverbs that I was not at all familiar with that I appreciated getting to learn about. The writing style was accessible and enjoyable to read and Michal was a great storyteller. She has lived a very interesting life and I found myself wishing that the book was more about that and less trying to give any kind of tangible advice. If it had more of a narrative thread I think it would have been more successful.
