I like self-help books to a certain degree, depending on if I find the information relatable to what I want to seek advice on and improve. I didn’t realize this book would be a combination of an autobiography as well, but I liked the combination of the two. I found that there are a lot of relatable advice for many ages! While I myself am not Jewish, I think it helps give a look into Jewish culture and teachings along with giving meaningful wisdom and insight! I like the questions between each chapter to get you thinking and putting yourself into the reading while you go through the book. The glossary is a great addition to the book to bridge any gaps with different words and meanings as an added bonus getting to learn something extra that for most is probably new. I highly enjoyed this and think many would. I don’t look at books like this as a way to tell me step by step who to be or what I should be doing to conform to a certain way, but I think books like this help someone reflect and self-assess which is needed more than we think we need for ourselves and mental health. Thank you BookishFirst for the copy!
