I really enjoyed this book; learning more about Judaism and Jewish wisdom was incredible. As someone who grew up in a very conservative Christian household, where shame and lots of other negative connotations were rampant, it was so nice to see a different side of religion that had more positive benefits then negative ones. Not only that, I found it interesting that some of the facets of Jewish wisdom had been negatively transformed in Christianity; for example, the verse from Proverbs about raising your children. My parents took that as pounding and instilling their values into us and only having one "right" way of raising and disciplining us. But so fascinating that the way it was meant in Jewish tradition was that each child is different and must be raised and guided in the way that's best for them. Boy, I could've used that wisdom growing up! Overall, a tremendously fascinating book we all can gain wisdom from.
