The cover and title instantly caught my attention. It’s definitely the type of book I love to read. It’s well-written and held my interest throughout the book. The characters are intriguing and mysterious, and the story itself seems very dark, which I love. The dialogue doesn’t feel forced, which is something a lot of writers seem to struggle with. It feels authentic and I found it easy to completely lose myself in the story. I care about the main character and loved reading her story. I also love that the characters’ names aren’t super common. The descriptions paint a detailed picture in the reader’s mind without taking it too far and over explaining everything. The story runs at a nice pace, not too slow or fast, and left me dying to know more. I’m really picky and hard to please, but this book did not disappoint, and I’m very glad I read it.
