“What Big Teeth” was really good! I got lots of creepy "Adams Family" vibes from this and I thought it was an unexpectedly spooky read. I was sucked in and intrigued from early in the book and I had lots of questions, so I wanted to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. It didn't have much in the way of romance, but I didn't think it needed it.
A lot of the things Eleanor did were frustrating, and I wanted to yell at her at times, but she really improved towards the end. Some of the events and twists that happened surprised me. I did get a little confused towards the end with what was actually happening in the present vs the past.
Overall, I thought it was weird, dark, creepy, and sometimes gross (body horror elements). I think this would be a great book to read during the Halloween season and I would recommend this to anyone looking for an unusual YA horror book.
