What Big Teeth tells the story of a family reminiscent of the Adam’s Family, ensconced in their home in Winterport, Maine.

Eleanor Zarrin travels home after a mysterious mishap with a boarding school classmate and returns to a family filled with a strangeness she’s almost forgotten. When her grandmother leaves her in charge, it’s up to Eleanor to save the family from a centuries-old monster.

In an interesting way, this story is one of self discovery, even amongst the fantasy backdrop of werewolves, witches, and ghosts. I found the characters engaging and the immigrant family background clearly mirrored the author’s own family history.

The writing style is descriptive to give the reader clear images in an image laden story and the characters were extremely well developed.

I found the jacket cover to be enticing and was the perfect image to portend a story about werewolves.

Overall I wouldn’t say this is just for teens. Adults, give this a try!
