I heard about this book through Penguin Teen, and I can say that the plot had me hooked from the moment I read the summary.
The book left me in a slump and I could only think about its ending. The plot was so dark yet so beautifully written. Even though she was stuck helping and prioritizing her family, and could not unleash her full potential as a wolf, the character development shown in all the characters is amazing. I finished this book within one sitting and was flipping through the pages so quickly. The author incorporated dark fantasy so easily that at times it the plot didn't feel as dark as it should have been. Not only was that perfect, but the name itself and the cover immediately makes you think of Little Red Riding Hood. I was surprised to find myself in a completely different boat with a completely different plot, that was most definitely not a retelling.
