Every Choice in Life is a Fork in the Road. If it weren’t for the bad luck, Jack would have no luck at all. Every Choice has Consequences. In a harsh world of poverty where the tragedy of life outweighs the joys, how will young Jack find comfort and salvation salvation? This book confronts themes of death, suicide, child abuse, hunger, neglect, drug use, isolation, desperation, and depression. Beware! This story starts with a gory suicide scene. It’s a difficult book to read because of all the triggers and just bad things that happen and are endured. This book will break your heart and leave you devastated. So, if your in the mood to have your heart violently ripped from your chest, this is the book for you. But, time the finish, give yourself a day. While this book is written in a poetic, haunting manner, it’s not one for me. Jack’s misery is too palpable.
