I loved this book. The characters were compelling and heartbreaking. The world was narrow in scope but full of emotion and action. And the plot moved fast and rarely let you catch your breath. There was a lot that was expected but than something else would happen and you would be thrown off balance. I just wish we got to see more of how the background characters reacted to the ending. I loved the dual point of views especially once you learn what happened and get to see one of them in a new light. Not a happy book by any means but it has its moments of lights and people who are trying their hardest to help. Read when you want a good cry or when you need to remember how good your life is. Gorgeous cover and it goes perfect with the story. There is a little bit of romance and it’s bittersweet to watch two people fall in love in the worst of circumstances but mostly it’s about family,
