Jack and Matty have lost both of their parents and are on the brink of foster care, when Jack makes the choice to abandon their lives and go searching for the hidden money his dad stole in a burglary many years back. Thus begins the journey of Jack and Matty, fighting for a better life, building a loyal bond, and learning to open their hearts in the face of so much loss. The prose is succinct, powerful, and takes you on a wild ride up until the very last page. I’m eager to see what comes of this series.
