Hard hitting and My Next Fave Contemporary?

Immediately the synopsis grabbed my attention - as a former foster care caseworker, I am immediately drawn to stories about foster care and adoption. And this book sounds even more for me based on the hard hitting nature it implies will be within the pages (reminiscent of John Green perhaps?). Looking forward to seeing more about this book!
