An interesting take on a murder. It looks at both the crime and the history of the family. It doesn't divulge to much into the past of the killer but I think the purpose was to put more emphasis on the victim. It's a gripping read but fails to capture the horror of the crime. I feel bad for the family and very confused. The books is very much on the side of the victim and makes it clear they have no doubts over who committed the murder but fails to allow the readers make up their mind.

I ended the book looking at all the evidence and still feeling like there was more to the story. One of those crimes that just doesn't make since, including that every piece of evidence pointed to the killer. A show or movie could not make up a neater story. Yet the family and the fact that so many people from Mary's family being against her husband lead you to wonder if there was still more going on.
