I really like true crime. I listen to podcasts, watch documentaries and movies, and read crime articles. So naturally, I thought this would be a good fit. It seems to follow a lot of the same patterns that many other nonfiction true crime books lay out. It is hard to tell from a short passage, but it seems like this book does a great job of letting the readers know all the characters. It gives a great deal of insight to the characters motivations, thoughts, and choices. I really like this aspect, and it makes the reader feel more a part of the action. Even from the short few chapters, it gives suspense and lets the reader know that they are going to be in for a wild ride full of twists. Even though the suspect and perpetrator is fairly clear from the beginning, I can tell that many more details will emerge throughout the telling. I am definitely excited to give this book a try.
