I wanted to start a review on this one because I've been really slow at getting through this one. That isn't to say that it's bad, it's just that I'm reading it at a more leisurely pace, I want to steep myself in the world and I'm enjoying a more immersive experience. I'm very impressed with it so far. The setting is spectacular, which is one of the things I'm loving the most. Which is weird because most of the time we are seeing Zafira's anger towards certain aspects of her culture. But that just makes it even more real to me. The world building is awesome. I'm really loving being immersed in this setting. I also love Zafira, she is strong and independent (gotta love strong female representation in books) and she stands up for what she believes in and wants to be recognized as being just as good and valuable as men. I really appreciate her!
That being said, there is still a lot of the book for me to get through so in theory all of this is subject to change. But, like I said, I wanted to get a review up before too much longer documenting how I feel right now about it since I seem to be reading this book at a glacial pace.
