I have been anticipating this book ever since it first came out a few years ago. I loved the premise of an adventure and a look into this culture the author opens us to. We have characters with deep and complicated stories but solid core values. We have a complex world that needs changing. We also have a wonderfully woven narrative that bridges so many moves, lives, and voices together. With that said, the author does a lovely job keeping the story flowing and readers glued to the pages. We have the opportunity to learn about other worlds and perspectives and the triumph of human emotion. I was gripping the pages, eager to know what happens to our beloved characters, whom you really become attached to throughout this story. I cannot wait to see what happens in the sequel. Will our characters make it through? And if they do, how will they be changed?
