A solid 3 stars. Might have been more if I had read it when I was more in a fantasy mood, but I’m in a romance mood, but alas. Your girl can only buy so many books and I’ve only recently accepted loving romance more than any other genre.
I liked the world building and how it was set in the Middle East! Nice to see for a change! I felt like I was actually in the Middle East which is honestly impressive of the author. The characters felt true to themselves, and the tension between them was amazing and kept me entertained. I really enjoyed that part and the enemies to lovers aspect.
And the fucking cover? GOREGOUS. I still haven’t picked up the second book but I definitely will! I might do it when I’m more in a fantasy mood tho lol. Again, I’m in a romance mood and I need me some romance books.
