The world of We Hunt the Flame is immaculate. I loved the set up of the government and found it very realistic. Our main characters, Zafira and Nasir, were amazing and I loved the dynamic between the two. Nasir is personally my favorite. He drew me in immediately and I love his internal conflict. Zafira also had an amazing story. Altair is my favorite side character; he makes me laugh. the plot was also very interesting. I enjoyed the twists that came in the last one-hundred pages. I called a few and some were a total shock. I found Faizal's choice to kill off a character early on odd at first but as the book went on I realized it was the right move. The plot and character development were well-thought out. The final fight was perfect and broken up into more than open part, making it feel worth the wait. I cannot wait to read We Free the Stars. Altair deserves better... and the romance needs a resolution.
