We Hunt the Flame is a fantasy book with a stunning, intricate world and complex characters. The first half of the book was very slow paced to me, but after it hit the 200 page mark, I was hooked. The world building was amazing, and I loved the enemies to lovers slow burn romance. I also loved the found family aspect of it. All of the characters were written very well; there were no two-dimensional or shallow characters. The plot was also very complex, as well as unique and entertaining. The writing was very good as well, with detailed descriptions that gave a clear picture of the setting in my mind.
My favorite part of the book was probably the ending, which had my heart in my throat the entire time. I am very excited to read the second book in the duology, and I look forward to learning even more about the characters and world I loved in this book.
