"We Hunt The Flame", by Hafsah Faizal, was an adventure. Zafira is the huntress that is able to go into the cursed Arz. Nasir is the Prince of Death, a servant basically to the evil Sultan. When they cross paths... Events are set into motion that cannot be stopped. War is brewing, the cursed Arz, creeps closer, and a journey must happen.
I enjoyed the world that the author created. Although very descriptive, it was kind of confusing with all the different terminology. I also felt like it took a while for the pace of the story to start... A lot of background into characters and descriptions before happened.
I loved the relationships in the story: Zafira and Nazir, Dean and Jasmine, Altair, and even the Sultan. The Sultan's character was developed well!
I am glad that I had the opportunity to read this, and I have already ordered the sequel to this duology.
