I got this book on a whim at a bookstore, and I am happy that I did. I really liked the story and that it had an Arabian setting, as that is pretty unusual. The characters were fun and I really liked the dual POV to better understand what was happening with each character internal monologue. I enjoyed the strong lead female and that although she spent time pretending to be a man, she did not fully embrace masculinity and allowed herself to just be who she was. I think that the story was cute but a bit predictable, although I did love everything that happened throughout the book.

I found that some of the words used were a bit difficult to understand at the beginning as I am a native English speaker, and there were names and titles chosen from Arabic origins. I think that this was great due to the Arabian setting, but made reading a bit choppier at times.
