We Hunt the Flame draws readers in with its lush prose and sharp beginnings. The parallels that are immediately evident, right off the bat, between Zafira and Nasir. I can see how some readers may not like We Hunt the Flame, instead hoping for a more immediately thrilling story, but I'm very drawn to Faizal's intricate worldbuilding and the magic system already.
