I'm a sucker for a good opening line and parallels, so when the book opened with "People lived because she killed," I was hooked. When the second chapter started with, "People died because he lived," I knew I had to get my hands on this book. In just a few short chapters, Faizal has captured my attention, piqued my interest, and moved this book to the top of my TBR.
