I was just saying last week how I hate when authors italicize 'foreign' words in their books, how it almost always feels inauthentic. This book DOESN'T do that (most #ownvoices authors prefer not to), so points for that. Not sure if I want to give it a full read though, the writing as a whole is a bit weak...
