This book is fantastic. I had a hard time putting this book down. This story starts in the present and then goes from the 1950’s and way back to the Civil War. Elizabeth learns a lot about her family that she never knew while staying with Aunt Nora. Nora gets to tell a story that needed to be told and Elizabeth learns who she is. I loved each and every one of the many characters throughout this story. I loved learning about what happened to this family during theCivil War and then later during the 1950’s. I loved the descriptions that were given throughout this story. I loved the lessons that were learned. I received a copy of this book from Bookish First for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
