The preview of the book left me anxious to turn the next page. It seems a journalist is always looking for a good story and somehow she is approached with a story that is likely going to be very interconnected in her family history. She states she stays disconnected because you can't become close to a story in which you have no control other than to give it a voice. From the first couple pages it appears that this is a story that will bring her deep into the history of beyond what she first thinks is just the riots of the 60's bringing up the historical setting of discrimination and hate. What will she discover, will this bring her close to her family she seems not closely connected to, will this be a story for her to tell as a journalist or will she discover there are truly some things that should not be exposed?
