Oh, this one really sounds interesting!!!
I am excited to read this because I was a young girl during the 1967 riots. I remember how frightened everyone was, and how my dad had to check on the family printing business in the city to see if it had been looted.
This book also caught my attention because it has been compared to great storytelling similar to "To Kill A Mockingbird", my very favorite book of all time!
I like how the main character is a journalist, but doesn't know the back story of her own family, including her relatives. I like how the author has both white and black people playing prominent roles in the story. I like how the main character is a journalist, known for exposing corruption.
