This first look seems promising. I love that the story just jumps into action and gives you backstory that you need in an efficient way. It was a short first look, but I definitely want to keep reading to find out the family story! It also has to do with race in the '60s but also briefly mentioned it in the present from a very understanding perspective. I think it will have a lot of stories from old and new perspectives that will be good to think about today. The cover has a calm and good feeling and is nice to look at.
