I don't usually read nonfiction, but We Go High: how 30 women of color achieved greatness against all odds was an important read. This book featured women I know of like Kamala Harris, Kehlani and Simon Biles and others that I hadn't heard of but are just as important like Darnella Frazier who was the women that recorded the video murder of George Floyd. Where was her name in the news?
This book was broken up into culture, politics, STEM, activists, film, sports, journalism and food, so there's something for everyone to enjoy here. I actually really liked the sports section because I liked watching Simon Biles at the olympics last year and I've been following her in the news. I learned a lot from this book especially about food and culture. There's also beautiful artwork/photos of every women which was beautiful to see! Everything about this book is a masterpiece.
