This book is inspiring, informative, and detailed. It tells the stories of a wide variety of impressive and remarkable women of color. You get to know all sorts of heroes and role models. This book doesn’t just tell stories of the struggles and obstacles these women faced and how they overcame them to achieve remarkable things. It tells you about who they were/are as people. It gets into their motivations, what kept them determined. You get a little peak at their personalities, morals, beliefs, philosophies, and lives. Many of the women featured in this book are well know figures in modern history and the present world. Plenty of the women featured are more obscure and it was great to see a light shown upon such inspiring stories of women of color that I didn’t know. There’s all sorts of professions and accomplishments that are significant, from writers and athletes to political figures.
