I absolutely love this book and can’t wait to buy it for the library. The color and design is gorgeous! It is eye catching and frankly perfect. The stories from each person tugged at my heart and really made the person’s story real. This recent uptick in anthologies about people who are active in today’s politics and center stage is fabulous. It gives teens someone to look up to and aspire to be like. I enjoy handing these books to teens because it shows them a glimpse of hope for the future as well as self confidence. Everyone should feel powerful and self confident. These types of books encourage that attitude and this is wonderful for teens. I knew some of the people but not all the people which made it both familiar and intriguing. Teens may know them all though as they are more engaged with who is big in the moment. I like that these types of books are on this site. More positive nonfiction please.
