I am so happy I finally got around to reading We Are the Brennans! A fantastic story of how secrets can devastate, and sometimes break, a family. Each character is wonderfully developed and the story is so well-paced I was never bored for a second.
The complexity of not only the characters but also their subsequent relationships was something that kept me completely enthralled. Although I am typically a thriller reader, I found I was so invested in the Brennan family drama that I could not put this one down.
I also felt the book had a nice resolution and I was satisfied with how everything wrapped up. I would encourage people (women in particular) to look into trigger warnings with this book, as there is an event that occurs that could potentially be troubling to read.
I am so impressed that this is a debut novel, and I look forward to reading more from Tracey Lange in the future!
