I was so happy to receive this book and I could not wait to read it. This seemed like the perfect family drama book. I thought it would be full of drama, secrets, and characters I could root for. I was very disappointed.
The biggest thing was that I did not care about any of the characters. They came across as one-dimensional to me. On top of that, they all read exactly the same to me, so much so that half the time I could not remember who I was reading about.
When you have a hard time caring about the characters, it is very difficult to enjoy the book. Overall, I really think that this novel had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, it just fell flat for me.
