I really liked the flow of this book, as the perspective changes to different characters in almost every new chapter. It begins with Sunday, (the character, not the day), as the only daughter in her large Irish family. Sunday left her family and traveled cross country to California 5 years earlier and no one truly knows why. When an accident brings her oldest brother from back east to west coast to check on her, he finds a life far different than the successful, happy one he has imagined for her, and convinces Sunday to come home. From her Dad, who still remembers his participation in the Troubles of Ireland, to her ex-fiancé and close family friend Kale, everyone in the Brennan clan has secrets, and it takes the near-destruction of the family finances, trust, and long buried love to make everyone bring their secrets to light.

As I stated, I liked the flow of the book, however, it does read a little slow at times. The friction between family members was well-written and you can certainly tell that the author is from an Irish family too! The characters and the story is very believable and you will get lost in this book. Was it exciting? Not really, but it was a heartfelt story about both the betrayals and loyalties of family.
