I really enjoyed this family drama and it was everything I was looking for as far as well developed characters, a moving storyline, and secrets you find out throughout. It had so many elements to it that made it a bingeable read and I devoured it. The story of an Irish American family who owns a bar and who runs into trouble with a “bad guy” definitely kept my interest. There was sexual tension between old flames, family drama, some violence and definitely heart pounding moments. I think the author accomplished what they set out to when you take the idea of “family is everything” and apply it to a large family who all have their own interests to protect. Really well done and I’d definitely read more by this author in the future. I highly recommend to those who like a mystery and family drama on the darker side. It is not a fluffy read for sure, but entertaining and tense.
