I am a sucker for a good family drama novel, and it's been a while since I read one that was this well done. This novel follows an Irish-American family after the daughter of the family, Dawn, goes home to the East Coast after a drunk driving incident after years of living in California. So many family secrets are churned up and the characters are super multidimensional and well-written. This family fascinated me, in all of the ways their own paths that they tried to forge for themselves ended up being so interwoven with the other members of their family. Lots of different points-of-view made this so fun to read and unpack everything as we read on. There was even a bit of a mystery thrown in there! I really, really enjoyed this one. Thanks again to Celadon for the Advanced Reader's Copy! Celadon sure knows how to take care of their readers.
