This is a terrific debut about a flawed family with secrets. The story is told through varying perspectives and I cared about each of the characters. Sunday returns home to New York after a car accident and realizes that things are very different than when she left. The family is in jeopardy of losing their pub. The fiancé she left behind is now married. Despite the messiness of family and love, the Brennans pull together to support one another. Secrets are revealed and there are twists in the book that make it an engaging read. The book is on the shorter side, but delves into many important topics and addresses themes related to family, relationships, love, and mistakes. It's well written and the connection between the end of each chapter and the beginning of the next was clever. A compelling and heartfelt read. I am looking forward to more from this author.
