Couldn't connect with the Brennan Family
After reading a small first look of this book, I was really interested in reading the story. The book begins with Sunday returning home from LA to the old New York neighborhood after a drunk driving accident has landed her in the hospital. Initially, I did have trouble keeping all of the family members/friends straight, but as the story took shape, it was easy to learn more about the family. I enjoyed that each chapter was from a different person's viewpoint and I felt like this writing style really contributed to learning more about the characters individually and overall as a family.
However, so much of the story could have been solved/prevented if the family members (and boyfriend) just talked to each other! I understand that the characters were meant to have flaws, but some of the story left me rolling my eyes at the lack of (basic) communication.
