I really enjoyed this book. There was a lot of heart to the saga of the Brennans, and Tracey Lange crafted characters that were lovable in spite of their flaws - a group of characters that you could really root for.

I think my favorite part of this book was definitely the characterization. Each character was well crafted and well developed, but the most compelling element to me was their connection. I don't always love when a novel has shifting perspectives, but it worked so seamlessly in this book. It allowed readers to see each character as a fully realized individual, but also gave us an understanding of the dynamic of the family and how each character fit with the others. I thought it was really well handled.

This book was also compulsively readable to me. It's short and sweet, it doesn't drag anything out unnecessarily long for the sake of drama - it felt like a very natural flow of events. I did occasionally think the timeline was rushed or unclear, but I can't say that it bothered me really.

I really liked this book, I would recommend it pretty highly to anyone actually - I think a lot of people will recognize elements of themselves or their families in the Brennans and find themselves sucked into their lives like I was.
