This is my favorite type of book: family dramas filled with secrets and dysfunction draw me in every time. And the first couple chapters of We Are The Brennans did not disappoint! Author Tracey Lange did a great job starting to slow build characters Sunday and Denny: we get the impression that although we meet her about to have a drunk-driving accident, Sunday is a good person who has been struggling with her secrets, and Denny is the family caretaker who is in way over his head. I am adding this to my summer TBR list, and cannot wait to see where the story goes once Sunday returns home with Denny.
