You follow the family, more specially, you follow the sister of a rape victim. When the guy who raped your sister goes free what would you do? It started as a 5 out of 5 star book for me. It was emotional and raw. Somewhere it stopped being an emotional book of healing and became about the sister and her drawings/writing. Things never really got resolved and I just wanted more from this book.
I thought this book was kind of blah. I wanted to love it. It sounded like a book that I would love about a rapist going free. The problem for me was that it wasn't as hard hitting as I wanted. This book was supposed to be about moving passed a trauma in life and it just felt like it was going where I wanted it to, and then the middle of the book, took a turn where it stopped being about the family that was trying to move on. It became more about the rape victims sister and her writing. I think it focused too much on that one aspect and I just wanted more
