One of my only complaints is that the character development seemed a little disorganized and chaotic, so I found it difficult to keep the characters straight. The protagonist, Marianne(Em), seemed a little immature for her supposed age(high school sophomore).
Also, the title is good, but it is also long and difficult to remember. The cover is great, it draws you in and interests you.
It was a great read and a very unique premise. Before now, I had never heard of Marguerite De Bressuex, but this book has piqued my interest. Although revenge is a tale told time and again, this tells a story that is not only enthralling but important. It is a powerful, emotional, and moving story of feminism and injustice that needs to be told. I hope that it reaches many people because the book not only tells a story, it makes a statement. I'm excited to see where the story goes next.
