Thought-Provoking and intense opening chapter!
I enjoyed the way this novel mixes prose and verse to tell the story, right away I felt that brought a unique reading experience. The novel obviously covers very important topics and I'm interested in learning more about Em and the important dynamic with her sister.
I think the beginning just opens up too quickly and again, I just feel like there's more about Em I'd like to learn about first. I appreciate the Guatemalan representation too and overall am interested in checking out this book!
